Revtangen BO May 15th

Finally a day with little wind. Almost no wind in the early morning, from around 10 a 3-4 m/s westerly breeze. Not ideal, but the nets were up all day from 05.30-19.30, 40 new birds trapped was decent given the lack of eastern winds. Netmeterhours = approx.4600.

Sightings: Red-throated divers and arctic terns were moving over the sea, we counted 27 of the first and 70-100 of the latter, but we spent very little time looking at the sea. There was also a small movement of hirundines along the sanddunes, both house martins, sand martins and barn swallows but only in small numbers. Gadwall two males and one female flew over, black-tailed godwit ca. 5 displaying, golden plover 30-40, whimbrel heard.
