SE light breeze, cloudy and fairly nice conditions for bird ringing. A decent fall of migrants in the morning, both thrushes, european robins, blackcaps and goldcrests were on the move. Nets open 06.30-14, netmeter hours approx. 2700. Playback on redwing at dawn, later on grey wagtail, european goldfinch and yellowhammer.
Ringed: Meadow pipit 1, grey wagtail 2, winter wren 12, european robin 20, redwing 19, song thrush 7, common blackbird 1, fieldfare 1, garden warbler 1, blackcap 17, chiffchaff 13 (including 2 tristis), goldcrest 71, great tit 1, blue tit 1, brambling 1, greenfinch 6, yellowhammer 4. Total = 178. Also 5 controls.
Ringmerket: Heipiplerke 1, vintererle 2, gjerdesmett 12, rødstrupe 20, rødvingetrost 19, måltrost 7, svarttrost 1, gråtrost 1, hagesanger 1, munk 17, gransanger 13 (inkl. 2 tristis), fuglekonge 71, kjøttmeis 1, blåmeis 1, bjørkefink 1, grønnfink 6, gulspurv 4. Total = 178. Også 5 kontroller.
Observations: Rough-legged buzzard 1, water rail 1, golden plover 100, long-eared owl 1 (bounced from a net before dawn), european goldfinch 8.
