Revtangen BO October 27th

Finally some nice weather after a week of unstable windy westerlies. Nets up 07-14, netmeter hours approx. 2500. Playback on grey wagtail all day, blackbird, redwing and fieldfare at dawn, later om brambling, redpoll and yellowhammer.

Ringed: Water rail 1, grey wagtail 3, winter wren 4, european robin 2, common blackbird 2, fieldfare 2, redwing 4, blackcap 1, goldcrest 1, blue tit 9, great tit 4, tree sparrow 12, brambling 4, greenfinch 21, mealy redpoll 105, lesser redpoll 35, yellowhammer 4. Total = 214. Also 9 controls.

The four winter wrens ringed today took the season total to 204, a surprise all-time high considering the poor summer we've had and the seemingly poor breeding season for most early breeders.
