Revtangen BO October 4th

Pleasant, mild and mostly cloudy, and almost no wind. Nets up 06.30-16.30, netmeter hours approx.3600. Playback on yellow-browed warbler and garden warbler throught the night, later on grey wagtail, goldfinch and olive-backed pipit. This strange autumn continues with so far very few thrushes, tits and finches, but unusually large numbers of yellow-browed warblers and grey wagtails!

Ringed: Grey wagtail 13, winter wren 9, european robin 5, redwing 1, song thrush 1, blackbird 1, blackcap 6, barred warbler 1, chiffchaff 7 (including 1 tristis), willow warbler 1, yellow-browed warbler 2, goldcrest 9, great tit 4, blue tit 22, house sparrow 5, tree sparrow 2, chaffinch 1, brambling 4, linnet 1, lesser redpoll 1, goldfinch 1. Total = 103. Also 8 controls.

Ringmerket: Vintererle 13, gjerdesmett 9, rødstrupe 5, rødvingetrost 1, måltrost 1, svarttrost 1, munk 6, hauksanger 1, gransanger 7 (1 tristis), løvsanger 1, gulbrynsanger 2, fuglekonge 9, kjøttmeis 4, blåmeis 22, gråspurv 5, pilfink 2, bokfink 1, bjørkefink 4, tornirisk 1, brunsisik 1, stillits 1.Total = 103. Også 8 kontroller.

This was the 70th grey wagtail ringed at Revtangen BO in 2015, an amazing number compared to a total of 68 birds ringed prior to 2015. The previous record was 19 ringed in 2009. Vintererle nummer 70 i 2015.

The first siberian chiffchaff (P.c.tristis) in 2015. Gransanger av underarten tristis.
A late 1 cy willow warbler was also ringed today. Løvsanger.

Observations: Brent goose 32 migrating south, hen harrier 1, goshawk 1, sparrowhawk 3, golden plover 90, grey wagtail 30, richard's pipit 1.
