Goshawk, 2 cy female. After flying THROUGH two of our mist-nets she finally landet in one that could hold her. Hønsehauk, 2k hunn.
Lesser whitethroat is a scarce bird at Revtangen, with less than 15 birds ringed in an average year. This 1 cy had obvious fault bars on the tail, indicating food stress when the tail was growing. Many insect-eating birds seems to have had a poor breeding season, not surprising considering the unusually cold spring and early summer in much of Scandinavia.
Møller 1K.
Observations: Green sandpiper 2, sparrowhawk 3, kestrel 1, yellow wagtail 1. Enormous haching of small green midges (Chironomidae).
